The real toll of professional rugby

The more I read about the psychology of the England Rugby team, both during the recent Rugby World Cup…and after, the more I start to see the game I grew up and fell in love with as a distant country receding further over the horizon.
Today’s leaking of the behind the scenes row over money before flying out to NZ and the primary sense of ‘loss’ after the France defeat being cash rather than wounded pride has added to my general disillusionment with the national game. With no structure…moral or otherwise at the top of the game I wonder where we will go from here?

Twickileaks…the only people to come out of this well are Chris Robshaw and Tom Wood.
