Why no blog posts? A Breakfast update…

If you’re reading this, you’re either one of our small but loyal group of followers or looking to sell one of your kidneys (at least that’s what our WordPress stats seem to indicate).

I can’t do much for the latter group, but if you’re a member of the former, and you have a particularly empty life, you might be wondering why no one at Breakfast has blogged for over a month. Worry no more…

September has been very busy, and began with the London Double Header at Twickenham, which is sponsored by our Cotes du Rhone client. Yet again, the event was a huge success, both for those in the wine trade who attended as guests and for those who enjoy drinking ridiculous amounts of red wine while watching sport. There may have been some crossover between those two groups.
Of course, the Breakfast team remained resolutely professional and sober throughout; if by team, we expand the term to mean ‘me’ and exclude Ed and Seb. Still, a good time was had by all and the rugby was pretty enjoyable too.

Back in Golden Square we have been working our collective backsides off on, amongst other things, a huge rebranding project which will be revealed in the fullness of time, or when the NDA lapses…(only joking, client!) and a variety of jobs for Cotes du Rhone, Tradedoubler and AutoRestore.

We’ve also collected a couple of new clients and kick-started some other projects that had been on the back burner. Understandably, time for blogging has been limited, so apologies.

Anyway, here are a couple of random things that have occurred to me over the last week:

Why did the Daily Telegraph relegate their coverage of the Hillsborough story to page 6 on the day after the Prime Minister’s apology? Is Daniel Taylor right?

Is it hypocritical for Richard Desmond to threaten to close one of his newspapers for showing a young woman’s breasts when he owns a newspaper group solely because he has spent twenty years selling pictures of young women’s breasts?

Is Mitt ‘For brains’ Romney the worst US Presidential candidate ever?

Can I overcome my dislike of R&B enough to make it through to the end of the Frank Ocean record?

What websites should I visit if I want to buy or sell a kidney?
